Accessing the device menu
The display allows the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™ information (Item 1 of
Figure 3 on page 7) to be viewed.
The parameters are accessible only when the machine is in standby or operating mode.
The parameters that are accessible are grouped on several screen pages indicating:
–
device settings related to prescribed treatment
–
general device settings, such as date and time
–
compliance data
–
patient reminders - The device has a patient reminder feature to remind patients of
key events such as when to change the filter or mask, how to control the device, and
how/when to transfer compliance data to the memory card.
Description of a screen page
As shown in Figure 15, each screen page includes:
–
a first line or page header
–
up to 4 parameter lines with associated values
–
a final line showing the various symbols used for such features as changing a
parameter value, moving about a page, or moving from page to page (see table
entitled "Meaning of symbols displayed on the screen", on page 39).

Description of buttons and symbols
The four buttons on the front of the device allow the following:
–
access the device menu
–
scroll through various pages
–
change the value of certain parameters on those pages.
The closed padlock symbol
selected indicates that the values displayed on the page cannot be modified. If this
symbol is displayed at the bottom of the screen where a parameter is selected, the value
of this parameter cannot be modified.
The open padlock symbol
selected shows that the page displays settings. If this symbol is displayed at the bottom
of the screen where a parameter is selected, the value of this parameter can be
modified.
