Cleaning the water chamber
1. Remove the Sandman Duo™ or Sandman DuoST™ patient circuit. Turn the device off
and allow it to cool.
2. To disassemble the water chamber, see "" on page 44.
3. Remove any remaining water.
4. Clean the silicone gasket and both parts of the water chamber daily in warm soapy
water and rinse well with tap water. The two parts of the water chamber without the
silicone gasket may also be washed in a dishwasher. Allow to dry and wipe the
exterior with a clean cloth.
5. Once a week, soak the water chamber for 15 minutes in a solution of 1 part white
vinegar to 9 parts water. Rinse well with tap water. Dry the exterior with a clean
cloth.
6. To prevent bacterial growth, do not allow water in the reservoir to stagnate.
