3.5.2 Clamping support 1 688 030 207
Clamping support (Fig. 2, item 3) for securing VDO-CP
with foot mounting (Fig. 2, item 3) to the clamping rail
of the EPS 708/EPS 815. The clamping support can be
adapted to the particular VDO-CP by arranging the stud
bolts (Fig. 2, item 4, 5, 6).

Procedure:
1. Open the "Component selection-General values"
window in the "EPS945-VDO" software.
2. Press <F3> to open the "Enter additional
information for the test" window.
3. Read out the mounting position of the stud bolts
Bolt: A to II / B to V / C to
(bolt) (e. g.
VIII
).
4. Screw stud bolt "A" (Fig. 2, item 5) into the
corresponding position (e. g. "II") on the clamping
support.
5. Screw stud bolt "B" (Fig. 2, item 6) into the
corresponding position (e. g. "V") on the clamping
support.
6. Screw stud bolt "C" (Fig. 2, item 4) into the
corresponding position (e. g. "VIII") on the clamping
support.
7. Place VDO-CP on the stud bolts.
8. Secure VDO-CP with hex socket head cap screws
M8 x 40. Tightening torque 19 – 25 Nm
