Before being inserted into the T-slot in the
intermediate flange (Fig. 5, item 1), the connection
piece (Fig. 5, item 2) must be lubricated inside and
outside with highly adhesive and heat-resistant
grease (e. g. Bosch FT1V4, 5 700 002 025).

Intermediate flange with shoulder bolt for VDO-CP with
conical drive shaft. The shoulder bolt has a left-hand
thread and must not be tightened to more than 40 Nm.

The data for tightening (left-hand thread) and the
maximum tightening torque (max. 40 Nm) are provided
on the head of the shoulder bolt (see Fig. 7).
