7.3.1 Physical Inspection

Check all equipment to assess its functionality and technical safety . These inspections may be
performed on a less frequent basis depending on the duration and frequency of use . To inspect:
1 . Disconnect the console from the power supply .
2 . Inspect all exterior components, surfaces, and corners for damage . If the unit was dropped,
contact your DePuy Synthes Sales Representative or call DePuy Synthes Customer Service
in the USA at +1 (800) 382-4682 to arrange for a replacement . Outside the United States,
contact your local affiliate .
3 . Inspect the power cable, verify that the cable is intact .
4 . Look for cuts on the cables and missing or bent pins on the connectors .
5 . Remove the fuse holder (located below the power cord receptacle) and verify that both
fuses are intact and match the current, time delay and voltage ratings per the back panel
label .

7.3.2 Replacing the Fuse

1 . Turn off the Supply Mains power switch (Figure 22, Point 2), unplug the Camera
Control Unit from the wall, and unplug the Power Cable from the Camera Control
System .
2 . Using a small, flat-blade screwdriver, pry up the fuse cap (Figure 22, Point 1) until it
can be grasped with two fingers .
3 . Pull up and towards the female power connector, and the fuse cap will rotate open,
exposing the fuses .
4 . Remove and replace fuses .
5 . Rotate and push closed the fuse cap until it snaps into place .
