CLEANING
The appliance must be unplugged from the mains for cleaning. Then remove the nut (A), and use the extractor
(E) that is delivered with the machine to pull out the auger. To do so, insert the extractor in the groove on the
blade stop (F).
The auger, plate and blade assembly can be easily washed in a bucket full of hot water and neutral soap and
using a brush and a cloth.
With respect to the mincing head (G), the knobs or handles (H) must be unscrewed, then pull on it to remove it
and wash as described above.
The tray and guard can be cleaned using cloths to wash with hot water and neutral soap. Pay special attention to
cleaning the interior of the tray's tube.
When all the elements are rinsed and dried, they can be re-assembled to be used again.
It is not advisable to use pressure cleaners because of the machine's electrical equipment.
MAINTENANCE
The main point regarding maintenance is the good condition of the plates and blades. Whenever it is observed
that the minced product does not have the desired appearance, replace the plates and blades or have them
sharpened (always by groups).
Lubrication: (Not valid for the PM/PK/70).
At least once year the oil level in the machine's transmission must be checked. To do so, remove the tray by
unscrewing the bolts (I), then remove the upper inlet cap (J), and finally unscrew the oil level cap (K). If oil comes
out, it means that the level is correct. If not, carefully lift the machine by the opposite side, because it needs
lubricant. Oil must be added through the inlet opening until it starts to come out through the oil level opening. After
making all adjustments, put the covers back on securely.
Ask EQUIPAMIENTOS CARNICOS S.L. about the type of lubricant to use.
If, for any reason, the transmission oil had to be changed, it must first be purged by removing the drain plug (L).
Belt maintenance: (Only valid for the PM/PK-70).
If the drive belt (M) had to be tightened for any reason, it should be done by personnel who know the Poly-V belt
transmission systems.
To perform the tightening operation, the nut (N) must be loosened while holding bolt (O). By screwing in the bolt
(O), it can be observed how it acts directly on the spring (S). The belt will become tighter as the spring is
compressed. In order to calibrate the tension precisely, place the gauge (T) between the faces of the components
where the spring is supported (S). Screw in slowly until the gauge (T) is in slight contact with the faces of the
components on which the spring is supported.
The tension should be correct and not excessive so that the neither the bearings (Q) nor the idler roller (R) are
overloaded. The tension also must not be insufficient, otherwise the belt will slip.

SOUND LEVEL

The weighted and continuous, equivalent acoustic pressure level "A" at the work station and with no load is a
maximum of 62 dB(A).
ATTENTION
Plates with smaller thickness than 5mm are not allowed to be placed as a final plate (V).
