5. Maintenance and demolition
EN
To ensure maximum reliability of the partly completed machinery and to avoid conditions of
danger, diligently adhere to the instructions and the precautions reported in the following pages.
Periodic maintenance and correct use are essential factors to guarantee full efficiency and safety
of the partly completed machinery.
The maintenance operations and the prescribed operations are designed to prevent problems
linked to the deterioration of the safety measures and machine downtimes.
This makes it possible to provide instructions in relation to any extraordinary operations that may
become necessary.
DANGER: The operations described below must be carried out exclusively by
qualified and specifically trained operators. The Manufacturer declines all liability for
operations performed in violation of the safety prescriptions, by unqualified
operators, or without complying with the instructions given in this manual.
DANGER: Before performing any of the maintenance or cleaning tasks described in
this heading disconnect the partly completed machinery from the electrical power
supply by means of the main power switch on the electrical equipment front panel.
The main power switch must be locked out in its open position by fitting a padlock.
CAUTION: During the activities the operator must wear all the necessary personal
protective equipment (PPE).
DANGER: When transporting or handling the partly completed machinery, observe
the precautions described below.
During the interventions, it is necessary to signal the intervention on the partly completed
machinery with suitable signs (these signs must be positioned so as to prevent any type of
undesired intervention on the partly completed machinery).
During the interventions, only authorized personnel may access the work area.
only disassemble the parts of the partly completed machinery that are actually necessary
to perform the specific maintenance operation.
Moreover, before handing the partly completed machinery to the operators, it is necessary
to check its integrity and functionality.
As much as possible, operate on the partly completed machinery and on the piping only
after having emptied them and, before proceeding to restart it, ensure a thorough cleaning
of the system.
Do not for any reason whatsoever use gasoline, solvents, or flammable fluids to clean the
parts; use standard approved commercial detergents that are not flammable or toxic.
Do not perform modifications, transformations, or applications on the partly completed
machinery which could jeopardize safety, without first having obtained written authorization
by the Manufacturer.
All the materials with an environmental impact which need to be eliminated following
maintenance interventions must be disposed of in accordance with the norms in force.
CAUTION: to dispose of materials with a high environmental impact, if necessary,
contact specialized waste collection centres.
