Removing contaminated test oil

The contaminated oil must be drained weekly, or as
required.
1. Switch off the mains supply.
2. Open the bottom rear panel (Fig. 1, Pos. 15).
3. Place a container with a funnel below the ball valve.
4. Open the ball valve (Fig. 28, Pos. 1) to drain the
contaminated oil.

Do not reuse the contaminated test oil.

Refer to chapter 9 for more information on disposal
of contaminated oil.
5. After the contaminated oil is drained, close the ball
valve.
6. Close the bottom rear panel.

Cleaning the MGT strainer
The strainer is located beneath the perforated base
plate. The test oil from the MGT is routed back to the
test oil tank through the MGT strainer.

Cleaning the MGT strainer:
1. Use the rotary knob (Fig. 4, Pos. 1) to turn the swivel
frame until the perforated base plate is readily ac-
cessible.
2. Remove the perforated base plate from the measur-
ing glass assembly.
3. Pull out the MGT strainer (Fig. 29, Pos. 1).
4. Using a blower, clean the strainer.
5. Place the strainer back.
6. Insert the perforated base plate in the measuring
glass assembly.

Replacing the filter insert
Risk of burning
The test oil might be hot and can cause
burning.
¶
Allow the test oil to cool before pro-
ceeding with the maintenance task.
¶
Wear safety gloves.
Warning: Risk of slipping!
Stepping on test oil might could lead to slip-
page and injury.
¶
Ensure that test oil does not spill on the
floor.
¶
Wear slip-resistant safety shoes.
1. Switch off the mains supply.
2. Open the bottom rear panel.
3. Using a belt wrench, rotate the filter casing anti-
clockwise and loosen.
4. Pull out the filter insert.
5. Fit the new filter insert (part number
F 002 DG1 981).
6. Fit back the filter casing.
7. Switch on the EPS 625.
8. From the HMI, switch on the test pump.
9. Check if there is any leakage.
If there is any leakage, check if the filter is con-
nected properly. If the leakage persists, contact
Bosch customer service.
