Connect the hoses of the TIG Torch (7) cooling circuit to
the BI and BL fittings of the Cooling Unit (22) matching
the hose and valve colours correctly.
NOTE
If the pump turns with no coolant present, you must re-
move all air from the tubes:
− shut off the Power Source and fill the tank;
− disconnect the blue tube of the torch (7) cable from the
fitting BI;
− connect one end of a new tube to the free fitting BI and
insert the other end of the pipe in the tank;
− run the Power Source and then the Cooling Unit for
approximately 10/15 seconds to fill the pump;
− shut off the Power Source and reset the tube connec-
tions of the torch (7) cable.

Welding System power up.

Power up the Welding System with the switches BE on
Power Source and BV on Cooling Unit.
System powered; on Control Panel all leds and display
light on (lamp test).
After one second, display D1 reads "Art" and display D2
reads the Power Source code (e.g.: "369").
After one second, D1 reads "MSt" and D2 reads the
version of the program inserted into Power Source control
board (e.g.: 02).
Subsequently, Control Panel returns in the state as set be-
fore the last time the unit was shut off.
After one second the switch BE is closed, the Power
Source fan runs for 5 s, then stops.
Depending of its setup Cooling Unit may start running.
NOTE
The Cooling Unit is set from the factory to OFF. If a liq-
uid-cooled torch is used, change this setting (see par. 5.4).

POWER SOURCE.

4.1

Overview.

The Power Source does not work independently, but must
be connected to the other system equipments.
The Power Source is the main power supply of the Weld-
ing System and provides the supply voltages to all other
equipments.
The equipments may be used only for the purposes
described in the present manual.
4.2

Technical specifications.

The Power Source is manufactured according to the fol-
lowing international standards:
IEC 60974-1 / IEC 60974-5 / IEC 60974-10 (CL. A) / IEC
61000-3-11 / IEC 61000-3-12 (see note at the paragraph end).

The duty cycle expresses the percentage of
10 minutes during which the welding ma-
chine may run at a certain current without
overheating.

Protection rating for the housing. Grade 3 as
the second digit means that this machine may
be stored, but it is not suitable for use out-
doors in the rain, unless it is protected.

Suitable for use in high-risk environments.
NOTES
The equipment has also been designed for use in environ-
ments with a pollution rating of 3. (See IEC 60664).
This equipment complies with a IEC 61000-3-12 standard
