5 ASSEMBLY
DANGER
Always wear protective gloves during assembly.
5.1 SAFETY GUARDS ASSEMBLY (FIG. 4)
Fix the guard (Fig. 4.A) to the transmission pipe using the screws (Fig. 4.B), in a position that allows
you to work safely.
ATTENTION
Only use the guard (Fig. 4.C) with the strimmer head. The guard (Fig. 4.C) must be secured
with the screw (Fig. 4.D) to the guard (Fig. 4.A).
NOTE
The symbol Fig. 7.E on the cutting device guard shows the direction of rotation of the cutting
device.
5.2 ASSEMBLY OF THE STRIMMER HEAD (FIG. 6)
Insert the upper flange (Fig. 6.F). Insert the retaining pin of the head (Fig. 6.H) into the designated
hole (Fig. 6.L) and tighten the head by hand in an anti-clockwise direction (Fig. 6.N).
5.3 DISC ASSEMBLY (FIG. 7)
1. Fit the disc (Fig. 7.R) on the upper flange (Fig. 7.F) making sure that the direction of rotation is correct.
2. Fit the lower flange (Fig. 7.B), the bevel gear (Fig. 7.D) and tighten the bolt (Fig. 7.A) in an anticlockwise
direction.
3. Insert the pin supplied into the designated hole (Fig. 7.L) to lock the disc and allow the bolt to be
tightened (Fig. 7.A) to 25 Nm (2.5 kgm).
WARNING
The clamp (see arrows, fig. 7.C) must be in the assembly hole of the disc.
5.4 GRIP ASSEMBLY (FIG. 2)
Fit the grip onto the transmission pipe and secure it with the screws (Fig. 2.A). The position of the
grip can be adjusted based on operator requirements.
WARNING
Fit the loop grip (Fig. 2.D) between the arrows on the label (Fig. 2.B) and the rear grip (Fig. 2.C).
5.5 HANDLE ASSEMBLY (FIG.5B)
1. Loosen the screws (Fig. 5B.D) of the clamp.
2. Insert the 2 semi-grips into the respective housings (Fig. 5B.E).
3. Tighten the screws again (Fig. 5B.D).
5.6 ASSEMBLY OF THE CONTROL GRIP (FIG.5A)
1. Loosen the screw (Fig. 5A.G). The nut (Fig. 5A.H) stays in the control grip (Fig. 5A.L).
2. Push the control grip (Fig. 5A.L) (the accelerator Fig. 5 A.M must point towards the bevel gear) on
the handle (Fig. 5A.N) so that the holes (Fig. 5A.P ) are aligned.
3. Insert the screw (Fig. 5A.G) and tighten firmly.
