ATTENTION
Material damage due to improper installation
Improper installation of the switching contact can
damage the product or lead to malfunctions. Ob-
serve the following requirements during the install-
ation:
u Select suitable cable routing to avoid interfer-
ence.
In the delivery state, a jumper is inserted on the
downgrade input. This must be removed first.

Configuration
The reduced charging current, which is applied
when the switching contact at the downgrade input
is energised, can be set via DIP switches 4 and 5
on bank S2. The charging current is reduced on a
percentage basis depending on the set maximum
charging current.

* At least 6 A are always available for the charging
process. If the calculated reduced charge current is
less than 6 A, it is rounded up.
6.2.2 Blackout protection
The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
To prevent an overload at the building connection
with a charging point (blackout protection), it is ne-
cessary to record the current values f rom the build-
ing connection with an additional external energy
meter. The energy meter also takes account of
other consumers in the building. Blackout protec-
tion is not possible in the case of building connec-
tions with more than 63 A.
