6.5.2 Automatic Cleaning
Automatic cleaning can be carried out as an alternative to the manual cleaning described in
Chapter 6.5.1 on page 27.
NOTE: Procedure validated with:
• Miele PG8536 washer/disinfector;
• Miele DES-VAR-TD program;
• Alkaline detergent: neodisher® FA
6.5.2.1 Required Materials
• Alkaline detergent;
• Neutralising liquid;
• Water;
• Metal basket;
• Adapters;
• Thermal-disinfector.
CAUTION: Do not place the air polisher
device in a thermal-disinfector.
6.5.2.2 Cleaning Procedure
Position the accessories in a metal basket.
NOTE: If the Miele adapters are
available, for their use refer to the leaflet
"Instructions for maintenance and
cleaning" and/or to the IFU provided
with the adaptor.

• Neutralising liquid: neodisher® Z
(0.1 % v/v)
CAUTION: Do not place the cleaning
needle in a thermal-disinfector.
WARNING: Avoid overloading the
thermal-disinfector as this could compromise
the effectiveness of cleaning.
NOTE: Make sure that the accessories are
appropriately blocked in the basket and
cannot move during washing. Any blows
could damage them. Position the instruments
in a way that the water can flow through all
the surfaces, even internal.
