Sources of error in RF switching
Impedance mismatching can cause a variety of errors in an RF multiplexing system. These errors can cause distorted
waveforms, overvoltage, or undervoltage conditions.
To minimize RF impedance mismatching:
– Use the correct cable and connector for the circuit impedance (50 Ω).
– Be sure that all leads and signal paths are properly terminated. Unterminated sections of line can appear as
near shorts at RF frequencies.
