TROUBLESHOOTING
If a diagnosis code is displayed or active, promptly contact the manufacturer of the vehicle
in which the engine is installed or a workshop authorised by VM MOTORI STELLANTIS
EUROPE.
Do not use the engine until the problem has been solved and the error has been cleared
using specific diagnostic equipment available at the authorised centres.
The information below (see tables on pages 66 and 67) is provided to facilitate the
identification and solution of any anomalies and malfunctions that may occur during
engine operation.
Some of these problems can be solved by the engine user, all the other problems require
specific technical skills or abilities, therefore they must be exclusively dealt with by
qualified personnel with experience in the specific sector of intervention.
IMPORTANT
The engine is provided with an
electronic control unit that records
the engine faults and generates a
diagnosis code stored in the control
unit memory. The "fault code" is
displayed in the instrument panel of the
vehicle in which the engine is installed
and may be further signalled by the
enabled MIL warning light described
on page 29 and DWS warning light on
page 32.
