the parking position. The parking position helps to hold the welding helmet
in raised up position without the need of high friction. Adjust this knob
clockwise until you reach the desired holding force, fig. 14b. Note! If this
knob is over tightened the parking position will not release and if it is not
tightened enough it will not lock into parking position. If instead a friction
function on both sides is desired, the parking position can be disabled by
moving the metal washer, fig. 14c.
FACE SEAL (G5-03 Pro Air only)
It is important that the face seal is correctly mounted in the welding
helmet, fig. 11a-11b. Adjust the face seal to suit the shape of the face. It
must be firmly tightened against the face to provide the correct protection
factor, fig. 11c. Raise and lower the welding helmet by pulling the two
straps located on the face seal. The straps are designed to help raise the
face seal over your glasses, fig. 11d. Check that the face seal is correctly
positioned all around the face.
AIR CONTROLS (G5-03 Pro Air only)
The air distribution inside the welding helmet can be adjusted to suit your
personal preference. The air control lever on the left side, fig. 12a, will
adjust the airflow direction, either from above (over the forehead), below
(over the jaw area) or both. The direction of the air coming from the upper
air outlet is adjustable towards your face or towards the visor using the
right side air control, fig. 12b. When all the air is coming from the lower air
outlet the right side air control lever is disabled. The air comfort is also
affected by the welding helmet's distance to the face, fig. 3.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the welding helmet with a mild detergent and water. To avoid
damage to the product do not use solvents or alcohol for cleaning or
disinfection.
