Check the relay contacts
Prerequisites
The strings are connected to the SmartConnect.
The DC main cable on the central inverter is connected.
The auxiliary power supply is connected.
The optional external string switch-off system is connected.
The DC disconnect is switched on (On):
The LED string status indicators for the relevant strings light up green.
The connected central inverter is supplying power.
Required tools and measuring devices
Device key.
Clip-on ammeter for direct current, measuring range 0–200 A. Note the
following:
All measuring devices and cables must have protection class CAT II
(1000 V) in accordance with EN 61010-1.
Risk of fatal injury due to high voltages
Death or serious injury could result when working on high-voltage and
high-current electrical systems and live parts.
Cover or shield any adjacent live components. Note the following:
The power source of the photovoltaic system is always active
during daylight.
Risk of fatal injury due to lack of assistance
In the event of an accident a second person can lend assistance.
Only carry out work if a second person is present.
Risk of fatal injury through disregard of safety instructions
If the sequence of steps for installation and the safety instructions are not
followed, the device may be permanently damaged and electrical
accidents may occur with serious health consequences.
Observe the sequence of procedure steps for installation.
Follow the safety instructions.
Measure the string current and check the relay contacts
1. Measure every string current. Note the following:
Measurement is only possible when the central inverter is providing
the power supply.
The irradiation conditions may change during the measurement,
hence also causing the current values to fluctuate.
