6.3) Procedure after fall or test inflation
You can check the system at any time with a test activation. If such a trig-
gering occurs, the system can then be reused if you return it to its original
state. Deflate the system by removing the inflator and pressing the air
out of the airbag. Close all press studs and zips between the airbag and
the carrying system. The press studs are colour-coded, regardless of the
order. See point 9.2.
Insert the airbag into the vest without any special folding technique and
close the zips again by pulling the zips to the middle and back again.
Important!
to the press stud on the protective flap. Connect all the press studs. See
point 9.2
Check the functionality after the airbag has been deployed:
• Visually check the airbag for abrasion and damage such as tears
and cuts.
• Check the fastening loops, zips and seams of the vest.
• Check all waist and chest strap buckles for tears and deformation
The PPE regulation stipulates that the SKYVEST must be sent to Skylotec
GmbH once a year for maintenance or must be serviced by an trained
PPE inspector in accordance with DGUV 312 906.
6.4) Wearing the SKYVEST in combination with harnesses
The SKYVEST can be used in combination with an underlying safety har-
ness if it is ensured that pointed and sharp edges cannot damage the
airbag and the eyelets do not impair the function of the airbag.
6.5) Use of high visibility vest
Note:
Before each use, the high-visibility vest must be checked for damage (e.g.
holes, tears, defective seams and fasteners) and heavy soiling. If damage
cannot be repaired, the high-visibility vest may no longer be used as pro-
tective clothing in accordance with EN ISO 20471 and must be replaced.
No changes may be made to the high-visibility vest!

The high-visibility vest fulfils the requi-
rements for protective clothing in ac-
cordance with EN ISO 20471 and EN
ISO 13688 and is used to visually signal
the presence of the wearer in all possible
light conditions during the day (daytime
visibility due to background material) and
when illuminated by headlights in the
dark (night-time visibility due to the re-
flective material). The high-visibility vest
must always be worn closed.
