tor when it is not plugged in. The inflator should always be plugged into
the control module. The inflator contains an electric igniter, which is also
used in the automotive sector and is subject to strict safety requirements.
This electric igniter develops pressure inside the triggering device and a
mechanism opens the CO2 cylinder in milliseconds. The CO2 expands
suddenly under atmospheric pressure and fills the airbag. The pressu-
rised gas cylinder contains only non-hazardous, non-flammable gas, as
is contained in the circulating air. Any manipulation of the inflator can lead
to an explosion. Highest risk of injury, also for bystanders. The inflator is
certified by the Federal Institute for Materials Research (BAM). An defla-
ted inflator can only be opened by authorised Skylotec GmbH personnel.
A full inflator can only be obtained directly from Skylotec GmbH (www.
skylotec.com). Avoid mechanical, chemical or thermal stresses such as
dropping the inflator.

increased attention is required and the flashing light must be checked
frequently on cold days. When fully charged, the battery has a maximum
operating time of up to 35 hours. The charging time to a charge status of
90% is approx. 1.5 hours and to a full charge approx. 2.0 hours. The bat-
tery is designed for approx. 200 charge/discharge cycles. The battery can
be recharged using a charger certified and tested in accordance with EN
60335-2-29, as well as a power bank, laptop or computer. The charging
temperature should be above 0 degrees.

The airbag has a volume of approx. 24
litres. The airbag is made of extremely
hard-wearing technical fibres that form
the airbag using a 3D weaving process.
The pressurised gas cylinder filled with
carbon dioxide (CO2) is firmly connected
to the trigger device; together they form
the inflator. Make sure that you place
the protective cap supplied on the infla-
The control module contains a recharge-
able lithium-ion battery that is relatively
insensitive to the cold. As a result, it only
shows a minimal drop in performance
even on very cold days. Nevertheless,
