9.) CLEANING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
If the airbag or carrying system (jacket vest) becomes soiled, use only
warm water; never use aggressive cleaning agents such as OxyCleaner.
Avoid water or liquid on the system. The electronic unit is splash-proof
and must therefore not be submerged in water.
The specified maximum number of cleaning cycles is not the only factor
influencing the service life of the garment. The service life also depends
on use, care, storage, etc. The maximum number of wash cycles is 5.
9.1) SKYVEST with removable airbag
The following section describes how to remove the airbag from the SKY-
VEST. Open the zips at the neck and armpits and unbutton the airbag.
Open the zip at the bottom and undo the connection using the press
studs. You can then unthread the control module in the pocket through
the cut-out and pull out the airbag with the control module. Put the airbag
with the control module to one side. You can now wash the SKYVEST.
Please note that the airbag and the control module must not be washed.
You can now only wash the vest. Please observe the care symbols on the
vest/jacket label.
Attention: We recommend washing the vest inside out and using co-
lour detergent. After cleaning, the carrying system must be completely
dry before the airbag system is inserted. To reinsert the airbag, please
proceed in reverse order and make sure that the airbag lies crease-free in
its holder. Please remove and refit the airbag carefully and without using
excessive force!
The airbag is installed and removed in the same way. The airbag is con-
nected to the carrying system using press studs in matching colours.
Step-by-step installation or removal of the airbag
*To close the open zips, pull the slide all the way forward and then pull it
all the way back again.
