Please note that the adhesive takes 3 days
to develop full adhesion.
1. Remove the VarioSmoker from the
packaging and remove all protective
plastic film and packaging materials.
2. Clean the lid of the combi-steamer
with the enclosed cleaning cloth or
with a soft cloth and commercial de-
greasing cleaning agent (A).
3. Remove the protective strip from the
adhesive tape on the top part of the
bracket and affix the bracket on the
combi-steamer (B).
4. CAUTION! Risk of cuts! The edges of
the bracket are sharp. Wear protect-
ive gloves when pulling the O-ring
over the edges of the bracket. Pull the
O-ring (1) over the edges of the
bracket.
5. Hang the lower part of the bracket, if
necessary with the enclosed extension,
in the top part of the bracket (C). Leave
for 24 hours to allow the adhesive
tape to be fully effective.
6. Place the power supply in the bracket
(D) and attach it to the bottom with
the screws provided.
7. Remove the protective cover on the
power supply cable connection on the
power supply.
8. Plug in the power supply cable plug
into the power supply connection.
9. Hang the VarioSmoker on the hooks of
the bracket.
10. CAUTION! Risk of falling! Place the
mains cable in such a way that nobody
can trip over it. Plug in the mains cable
plug into a mains socket.
Your VarioSmoker is now ready to use. If
the mains switch lights up, the VarioS-
moker is switched on and heating up. If

you do not want to smoke food right
away, switch off the VarioSmoker at the
mains switch.
iCombi Pro
Carry out the following additional steps if
your unit is an iCombi Pro.
1. Remove the protective cover on the
power supply for the USB port.
2. Connect the USB plug with the power
supply and the USB port on the
iCombi Pro.
The established USB connection between
the VarioSmoker and iCombi Pro allows
you to select intelligent smoking cooking
paths (see } Smoking food). Please note
that the VarioSmoker is now controlled
automatically.
5 Operation
DANGER
Release of hazardous gases when
smoking food
If you use the VarioSmoker in a combi-
steamer operated below an inactive
extraction system, there is a risk of
suffocation from breathing in
hazardous gases.
Only use the VarioSmoker in a

combi-steamer operated below an
active extraction system.
5.1 Smoker material
WARNING
Do not soak smoking material with
alcohol
Soaking the smoking material with
alcohol can cause a fire during use.
