Oil level and oil change
Before starting the engine, check
the engine oil level. When check-
ing the oil level, let the vehicle
stand upright on the flat ground,
and observe whether the liquid
level is between the scale lines L
and H through the oil peep
window. When the engine oil level
is lower than the lower scale line L, open the upper
oil filler cap ① and add engine oil to the middle
position of the upper and lower scale lines.
Replace the engine oil and the oil filter
Notice
The engine oil shall be replaced when the
temperature of the engine is not yet cooled and the
vehicle body is supported by the support frame (to
ensure that the motorcycle is on the horizontal
plane and the vehicle body is vertical), so as to
ensure that the engine oil is drained quickly and
completely.
The engine oil capacity is approxi-
mately 3.2 liters, or 2.9 liters when
replaced.
(1) When draining the engine oil,
properly place the oil drain basin
below the oil drain position, remove
the oil drain bolt ①, completely drain
the engine oil in the tank, reinstall the
oil drain bolt with a torque of
20 ~ 25 N. M, and replace the engine
oil filter ② according to the following steps:
①. Use the special tool for
removing the engine oil filter to
clamp the engine oil filter and
rotate
it
counterclockwise
remove the engine oil filter to be replaced.
②. Clean the oil filter and the engine mounting
surface with a clean cloth.
③. Use a new oil filter of the same type and apply a
layer of lubricating oil on the O-ring
