to the mechanical resistance. By pushing the "Lift"
button, the lift can be raised again to remove the
object.
6.2

Emergency discharge

In the case of a power outage or a defective valve,
the lift can no longer be lowered. However there is
still the option of opening the valve to lower the lift
into its lowest position.
There is the option of opening the valve pneumat-
ically to move the lift to its lowest position so the
vehicle on it can be driven off. This is done by actu-
ating a pneumatic valve on the outside (meaning
outside the hazardous zone).
An emergency discharge is an ac-
cess into the lift controls and may only
be done by experienced specialists.
The emergency discharge must be
done in the following described se-
quence, otherwise it can lead to
damage and hazard to life and limb.
The emergency discharge must be
continuously monitored.
Any kind of external leakage is not
permitted and must immediately tak-
en care of. This is absolutely neces-
sary especially before an emergency
discharge.
6.2.1 Version: Internal hydraulic unit without
safety latch
Caution: The pneumatic hose for
emergency discharge must be lo-
cated outside the hazardous zone; in
case the emergency stop pull cord is
actuated due to negligence, there is
a high probability of injury from crush-
ing.
1. The blue hose (photo) is in the supply line below
the control cabinet and is provided with a clos-
ing stopper. This must be removed.
2. This air hose must be connected to a pneumatic
pressure source (e.g. hand pump or compressor).
The required operating pressure to unlock is 6 to
approx. a max. 8 bar.
3. The lowering process starts immediately. During
an emergency discharge, observe the vehicle
for the entire duration of the lowering process.
No-one may stand in the work area of the lift
76
while an emergency discharge is ongoing as
there is a high probability of injury.
4. Move the lift to the lowest position.
5. Move the vehicle out of the lift.
6. After completion of the lowering process, the
stopper must be returned to the blue pneumatic
hose again and secured. If this is not done, the lift
may malfunction.
7. Replace any damaged components.
Caution: Return the closing stopper for
the pneumatic hose for emergency
discharge and secure it; otherwise the
lift may malfunction and this could
lead to damage and injury to life and
limb.

Maintenance and care of the
system
Before maintenance, do all prepa-
ration work so there is no danger to
life or limb or object damage during
maintenance and repair work on the
lift.
