Checking the RDC control unit - A/D Silo card communications

You can verify that the connection between the RDC unit and the A/D SILO card has
been done correctly and that the data received from the A/D SILO card is without errors.
In the A/D SILO box, remove the jumpers SILO1 and SILO2 from the card.
Enter the Setup screen and scroll to the Prov. Data screen (on page 166).
If the Prov. Data is "1234" then the connection between the A/D Silo card and
the RDC is correct.
Scroll to the Silo Data screen (see page 17). If the data for the Silo Data is "5678"
then the connection between the A/D Silo card and the RDC is correct.

Checking Load Cells

To check that the load cell is ok, disconnect all 4 wires from the connector and measure
the resistance between pairs of wires as described below.
Measured the resistance between the RED and the BLACK wires.
Measured the resistance between the WHITE and the BLACK wires.
Measured the resistance between the RED and the GREEN wires.
Measured the resistance between the WHITE and the GREEN wires.
The resistance between RED-BLACK should be exactly the same as resistance between
WHITE-BLACK. If not, the load cell is defective.
The resistance between RED-GREEN should be exactly the same as resistance between
WHITE-GREEN. If not, the load cell is defective.
Note: If the measured value is under 200 ohms, use 200 ohms range in the resistance
meter. If the measured value is above 200 ohms use the 2K ohms range.
