A/D Silo Box Card: Jumper Settings

When connecting both a feed silo and a day bin, both SILO1 and SILO2 jumpers on the
A/D Silo Box card should be shorted out (See photo below).
Do not short out Silo jumper 2 if only the day bin is connected to the RDC.
Set Silo alarm weight to 0 kg(Lb) (see setup on page 14).
Do not do a weight calibration for the main feed silo.

Wiring between A/D Silo Box and RDC Controller

Connect the A/D Silo Box and RDC controller with 3 wires as in depicted in the
schematic below: one wire from the OUT contact in the A/D Silo Box card to the IN
contact in the RDC controller card, second wire from the – contact in A/D Silo Box
card to the – contact in the RDC controller card and a third wire from the + contact in
the A/D Silo Box card to the + contact in the RDC controller card.
A/D Silo Box to RDC Controller Wiring Schematic
The table below describes the function of each of the wires: the In/Out wire transfers
the data from the A/D Silo Box card to the RDC controller. This data is in CDP
format. The other two wires supply a 18 to 24 VDC voltage from the RDC controller
to the A/D Silo Box card.
