PLAYING IN THE ZOOM MODE

In the play or pause mode, press the ZOOM button.
• The zoom rate increases each time the ZOOM button is
pressed.
For DVD video discs and video CDs:
OFF Æ x1.5 Æ x2 Æ x4 Æ OFF
For DVD audio discs:
OFF Æ x2 Æ x4 Æ OFF

• When "PLAYER MODE" at "OTHER SETTING" in
"SETUP" is set to "AUDIO", zooming is not possible
at the top menu or with still pictures.
• When "PLAYER MODE" at "OTHER SETTING" in
"SETUP" is set to "VIDEO", zooming is not possible at
the top menu.

• Zooming is not possible with some discs.
• The zoom function may not work properly at some scenes.
• Zooming is not possible at the top menu or the menu screen.
• When the picture is enla ged, the picture quality may be decreased and the picture may be blurred.

If the DVD-A11 does not seem to be functioning properly, check the table below. If this does not solve the
problem, the DVD-A11 may be damaged. Turn off the power, unplug the power supply cord from the power
outlet, and contact your store of purchase or nearest DENON sales office.

• Plug the power supply co d securely into the power outlet.
• Is here condensation on the disc or player ? (Let stand for 1 or 2 hours.)
• Discs o her than DVDs,SuperAudio CDs, video CDs and music CDs cannot be
played.
• Disc is dirty. Wipe off the dirt.
• Check the connections.
• Check that VIDEO OUT has not been set to "VIDEO OFF" or "ALL OFF" for PURE
DIRECT MODE.
• Set the TV's input to "video".
• When he DVI connector output he signals, no progressive signals f om he
component video connector.
If you wish to use he component video output, set to "DVI OFF" for DVI SETUP.
• Check the connections.
• Properly set he input of he TV, stereo, etc.
• Check the "DIG TAL OUT" and "COMPRESSION" settings.
• Digital signals cannot be output wi h Super audio CDs. Use analog connections.
• Area/layer of Super audio CD being played (CD/stereo/multi-channel) does not match
amplifier connections.
• Menu playback is not poss ble w th any hing but video CDs wi h playback control.
• Some distu bance is normal.
• Some operations are disabled for some discs.
• Subtitles are not displayed for DVDs not containing subtitles.
• Subtitles are turned off. Turn the subtitles setting on.
• The audio (or subtitle) language does not switch for discs which do not include
multiple audio (or subtitle) languages.
• For some discs the audio (or subtitle) language cannot be switched when he
operation to switch it is performed, but can be switched on he menu screens.
• The angle cannot be switched for DVDs which do not contain multiple angles. In
some cases multiple angles are only recorded for specific scenes.
• Check the "RATINGS" setting.
• While he player is in he stop mode, hold the player's SKIP
PLAY button down simultaneously and hen hold he OPEN/CLOSE button down for
longer than 3 seconds (until "IN TIALIZE" disappears from the TV monitor).
The lock will be released and all default settings and picture settings will return to
he default values.
• The disc does not play wi h the selected audio or subtitle language if that audio or
subtitle language is not included on hat DVD.
• Set the "TV ASPECT" default setting to he p oper setting for he connected TV.
• Check the default setting for he disc language's menu language.
• Check that the batteries are inserted in the proper "<" and ">" directions.
• The batteries are dead. Replace them w th new batteries.
• Point he remote control unit at he remote control sensor when operating it.
• Operate the remote control unit wi hin a distance of 7 meters f om he remote
control sensor.
• Remove the obstacle between he remote control unit and remote cont ol sensor.
