Function of reducing the pause time with photocell 1
When this function is connected, upon passing in front of the photocell 1 (FT1, terminal 22), the pause time
is decreased, whatever its value, to 2 seconds.
This function is not normally connected. To set this function, proceed as follows.
1 - Cut off the power to the control unit.
2 - Press the STOP/PROG button (det. 19 of fig. 1)
3 - Power the control unit keeping the STOP/PROG button pressed for approx. 3 seconds.
4 - The LED L1 (det. 3 of fig. 1) lights up and remains lit; CONTINUING TO KEEP THE STOP/PROG BUT-
TON PRESSED, now press the P/P button. The LED L1 starts to blink:
- Slow blink = the photocell 1 (FT1) does not change the pause time
- Fast blink = passing in front of the photocell 1 (FT1) decreases the pause time to 2 seconds
Whenever this procedure (RESET + STOP/PROG pressed for 3 seconds + P/P) is repeated, the setting
changes.
This option is always used together with automatic reclosing (dipswitch No. 6 = ON).
Paralleling 2 motors
With overhead door installations using two motors or in any other type of installation where the motors must
move together without delays, it is necessary to put the dipswitch 11 to OFF (part 11 of fig.1) and connect
one motor to M1 and the other to M2.
The only active limit switches are those connected to terminals 20 and 21.
To program working and pause times, see types 3 and 4.
FINAL TEST AND INSPECTION
Always carry out a final test and inspection after having completed all the programming.
- Check correct operation of the protective devices (anti-crushing system, stop pushbutton, photocells,
safety edges, etc.).
- Check correct operation of the warning devices (flashing lights, open gate warning light, etc.).
- Check correct operation of the control devices (P/P button, remote controls, etc.).
FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS
- Installation of the automation device should be accomplished in a workmanlike way by qualified
personnel in accordance with the law and in compliance with directives EN 12453 and EN 12445.
- The installation should be equipped with stops even if limit switches are installed.
- Should the slowdown function be used, the anti-crushing system is cut out during this stage and
the installation should therefore be equipped with protective devices, such as safety edges.
- Should the motor be released manually, before carrying out any opening or closing movement,
reset the control unit (disconnect and reconnect the power supply).
Should this be impossible, the control unit synchronises its movements after 3 openings or clos-
ings.
- Give the end user all the necessary information for correct use of the automation device and warn
of the possible associated risks.
- Keep this instruction booklet to hand for future consultation.
In line with its continual product improvement policy, both in aesthetic and functional terms,
TELCOMA Srl reserves the right to make changes at any time without notice.
