WINTER OR LONG TERM STORAGE
1. Allow the engine to cool before storage.
2. Empty the sprayer tank and fuel tank after each use.
3. Clean the exterior of the backpack sprayer thoroughly using a
soft brush and clean cloth.
Note: Do not use water, solvents or polishes.
4. Open the cock valve and disconnect the spray hose from the
pump. Disconnect spray hose from the spray wand.
5. Ensure no residual water is inside the pump. Water remaining
in the pump could freeze and damage the pump in cold
climates.
6. Coil the spray hose and store on a hose holder to prevent from
damage or kinking.
7. Store the spray wands in a safe place to prevent from damage
or bending.
8. Store the unit in a clean, dry environment to avoid excessive
dust, dirt, or moisture.
9. Secure the unit to prevent tipping or falling during storage.
10. Store the fuel container out of the reach of children in well-
ventilated, unoccupied building.
11. DO NOT store unit and fuel container where fumes may reach
an open flame, spark, or pilot light such as in a water heater,
furnace, clothes dryer, or other gas appliance.
12. For long term & winter storage, place a teaspoon of 2 stroke-
oil into the combustion chamber throught the spark plug
opening. Pull the starter cable several times carefully to wet
the internal components with oil. Refit the spark plug.
BEFORE RESTARTING
1. Remove the spark plug (see pg 20) & pull the starter cord
several times to clean & pour the oil out of the combustion
chamber.
2. Clean the spark plug contacts or fit a new spark plug.
STORAGE
Other Storage Tips.
1. Replace fuel container if it starts to rust. Rust and/or dirt in
fuel can cause problems if it's used with this unit.
2. All chemical containers should be label and the label should
never be removed.
3. Store the chemicals/additives in a secure chemical storage
cabinet or cage, well ventilated and dry area that is out of
direct sunlight. Please refer to the chemical manufacturers
instructions for storage and guidelines.
4. It is recommended that the machine and high value
concentrate additives are secured sufficiently to avoid theft.
5. It is recommended that high value concentrate additives
are diluted before distributing to avoid theft or suicide
consumption by operators.
