• Avoid spray drift. Always taking into account different
parameters such as nozzles, pressure, boom height, wind
speed and etc.
• DO NOT aim the spray wand at people or animals.
• This product is a stand-alone machine and must not be
connected to other equipment.
• It is recommended when starting for the first time, the
backpack sprayer should be started with clean water to
check for leaks and safe operation.
• It is recommended when using a new chemical or working
in a new environment to check the operation with clean
water to avoid unintensional environmental impacts through
incorrect use. eg. Unwanted overspray or lack of control
when applying to specific plantation, or unwanded damage
to protected plantation.
• Keep bystanders away when spraying
• DO NOT use the sprayer near ledges, escarpments or cliff
edges, where there are risks of falls.
• DO NOT climb structures whilst wearing or operating the
unit, including trees, walls, buildings and fences.
• Avoid walking with the sprayer on steep slopes or on steps.
Protection for Children
Tragic accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to
the presence of children. Children are often attracted to the
machine and the spraying activity. Never assume that children
will remain where you last saw them.
• Keep children out of the spraying area and under the
watchfull care of a responsible adult.
• Do not allow children or others to use or touch the
equipment or attachments. They can be seriously injured.
• Allow only responsible or trained persons who understand
these instructions to operate this equipment.
• Use extra care when approaching blind corners, shrubs,
trees, or other objects that may obscure vision.

Maintenance Safety

• Keep engine free of grass, leaves or excess grease to reduce
fire hazard and engine overheating.
• When draining fuel tank, drain fuel into an approved
container outdoors and away from open flame.
• Always provide adequate ventilation when running engine.
Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide, an odorless and
deadly poison.
• Service engine or pump and make adjustments only when
engine is stopped. Remove spark plug wire from spark plug
and secure wire away from spark plug.
• DO NOT change engine governor speed settings or
overspeed engine.
• DO NOT test for spark with spark plug removed.
Safe Handling of Gasoline
To avoid personal injury or property damage, use extreme care
in handling gasoline. Gasoline is extremely flammable and the
vapors are explosive.
• Extinguish all cigarettes, cigars, pipes and other sources of
ignition.
• Use only an approved fuel container.
• DO NOT fill fuel containers inside a vehicle or on a truck or
trailer. Always place the containers on the ground away from
the vehicle before filling.
• DO NOT refuel the machine indoors or in a closed environment.
• DO NOT remove fuel cap or add fuel with the engine running.
Allow the engine to cool before refueling.
• Never overfill a fuel tank. Replace fuel cap and tighten securely.
• DO NOT store the machine or fuel container inside where there
is an open flame, spark or pilot light such as on a water heater
or other appliance.
• If fuel is spilled, clean up immediately and change clothing if
soiled with fuel.
Transporting and Storage Safety
• DO NOT store unit and fuel container where fumes may reach
an open flame, spark or pilot light such as in a water heater,
furnace, clothes dryer or other gas appliance.
• Hand carry the unit in the upright position with the engine
stopped and the muffler away from your body
• Store the unit in the upright position.
• Allow the engine to cool before transporting or storing the unit.
• Empty the sprayer tank and fuel tank after each use and before
transporting or storing the unit.
• When transporting, place the unit in the vertical/upright
position on the cargo trailer/utility vechicle or similar. Use a
rope or safety barrier or similiar to securely lock the unit from
moving and avoid breakage.
• Never operate the machine from a moving vehicle. eg, DO
NOT operate standing from the tray or out the window of a
utility truck.
• Never operate or ride on a vehicle whilst wearing or operating
the machine. eg. DO NOT ride a motocycle or an animal whilst
wearing the sprayer.
• DO NOT run whilst wearing or operating the sprayer. Always
walk.
• The unit is intended for bipedal upright pedestrian operation.
DO NOT operate in a manner other than is intended, including:
- DO NOT operate whilst sitting or crawling.
- DO NOT operate elevated or suspended from the ground.
