Type 1945, 1965
1. Remove the cover (1) using a matching open-end spanner (3)
2. Use the Goetze adjusting tool (4) or a customary wide slot screwdriver to
further reduce the set pressure by turning the adjusting screw (5) clockwise.
Turning the screw counter-clockwise will increase the set pressure.
3. After adjusting the set pressure, fix the cover (1) on the housing (2) again.
Make sure that the O-type sealing ring (6) on the top is flush in the housing
groove (2).
The valves 1945 and 1965 can be delivered with a set pressure and sealed by the
factory or without set pressure with the desired range of adjustment. Valves which
have been set and sealed by the factory are marked with the set pressure. Before
changing the set pressure the seal has to be removed.
If valves are unsealed, the desired pressure can be set within the pressure range
of the spring.

Commissioning
Commissioning of the system must only be performed by qualified staff. Before
starting the system for the first time, the operating instructions must be read and
adhered to. It must also be checked that the installation work has been performed
correctly.

Operation / maintenance
The vent valve must also be checked at regular intervals for tightness, function and
damage. The maintenance intervals depend on the operating conditions and are to
be determined by the operator.
If deviations from the normal condition are identified during maintenance (e.g.
leakages, incorrect switching functions, etc.), the vent valve must be replaced im-
mediately or repaired by a professional in order to ensure continued safe operation.
Makeshift repairs of all kinds are prohibited!

Dismantling the fitting
Dismantling of the valves from pipes must only be performed by qualified staff. For
this purpose, the piping system and the valve must be unpressurised.

Repairs
Repair work on vent valves is only to be carried out by Goetze KG Armaturen or by
officially approved specialist workshops authorized by Goetze KG Armaturen using
original spare parts only.
