Pressure setting
Setting fuel oil pressure
On delivery, the pump is set at 13.5bars.
· Turn screw 6 clockwise to increase
pressure, anti-clockwise to decrease
it.
Maximum negative pressure is 0.4bar
in case of direct suction from tank.
On boost, maximum pressure is 2bar.
Firing fuel oil
m
Warning:
Burner may only be fired when all
the requirements listed in
previous sections have been met.
Notably, choice of priority fuel
(fuel oil).
· Install one manometer on distributor
graduated from 0 to 30bar for
atomization pressure.
· Install on pump :
– one vacuum gauge graduated
from 0 to 1bar (in 5 or 5.1) if
suction pressure,
– one manometer graduated from 0
to 6bar (in 5 or 5.1) if boost
pressure 2bar.
· Connect a microammeter (0-500µA
DC scale) instead of measuring
bridge located near the motor
contactor.
m
Respect the direction of
connection.
· Open fuel valves.
· Turn S1/H10.1 - S29J - S2K - S4
Fuel oil - S7.1 switches on.
· Close thermostatic circuit.
· Release control and safety unit.
Burner is working.
Perform the following during
preventilation phase :
· Drain pump via a pressure take-off
point.
Burner ignites in 1
Check ignition quality.
· Check the following : (see table)
– spray pressure,
– cam VII position.
· Turn S7.2 - S8.2 switches on.
Burner is working in 2
· Check combustion; adjust if
M14x1.5
required.
G1/8
· Trigger S8.3 switch on.
Burner is working in nominal 3
rate.
· Check combustion.
· Read and adjust pump pressure, in
order to obtain required nominal
power.
· Adjust air flow via servomotor cam I.
Comply with smoke temperature
recommended by the boiler
manufacturer, in order to obtain
effective output required.
· Reduce power to 2
(minimum regulation), then to 1
rate.
· Check combustion on those two
points.

According to measured values, use
working burner cam VI (2
cam IV (1
· Return power to nominal flow and
check combustion.
· Optimize combustion results by
adjusting dimension Y secondary air,
according to procedure described in
the " Checking / Setting
Combustion components and
secondary air " section.
· Reduce dimension Y, CO
increases and vice versa. If you
change dimension Y, you may be
required to change air flows and
spray pressure.
· If so, check combustion values.
Important:
No longer change dimension Y.
Check operation during ignition and
when increasing or reducing power.
· Remove combustion components,
according to procedure described in
the " Checking / Setting Combustion
components and secondary air "
section.
· Check general state of the following
components : turbulator, nozzles,
blast-tube, electrodes.
· Adjust settings, if required.
· Reassemble unit.
· Check fuel oil circuit for any leaks.
Maximum negative pressure is

· Remove manometers and vacuum
gauge from fuel oil circuit.
· Then set and check the safety
devices.
