At high liquid velocities (greater than 5 m/s), we
recommend that you to fit larger expansion joints
matching the pipes.

5.3 Foundation

We recommend that you install the pump on a
concrete foundation which is heavy enough to
provide permanent and rigid support to the entire
pump. The foundation must be capable of absorbing
any vibration, normal strain or shock. As a rule of
thumb, the weight of the concrete foundation must
be 1.5 times the weight of the pump. Place the pump
on the foundation and fasten it. See fig. 11.
5.3.1 Recommended concrete foundations for TP,
TPD Series 300 pumps
For TP Series 300 pumps with weights of 150 kg or
more, we recommend that you mount the pump on a
concrete foundation with the dimensions stated in
the table below. The same recommendation applies
for TPD Series 300 pumps with weights of 300 kg or
more.
