INHALATION
3.1 Function check
Clear pathway through the valve
After receiving the VORTEX, check that the path through the valve in the mouth-
piece is unobstructed:
• Run tap water through the lip attachment
into the mouthpiece.
The water should escape through the side
openings in the mouthpiece.
• Let the tap water run out through the bot-
tom of the mouthpiece.
The water should run out of the lip attach-
ment again.
• Dry the VORTEX completely before using it for the first time.
If the valve is obstructed, the VORTEX must not be used.
Position of the valve
Before every use, check that the valve is in the correct position inside the VORTEX
mouthpiece:
• Check that the valve is in the position
shown inside the mouthpiece.
If necessary, use a stream of water to cor-
rect its position.
• Dry the VORTEX completely before using it again.
3.2 Preparing for inhalation
WARNING
Since the inhalation chamber of the VORTEX is not completely closed, small
particles can get in, and might be breathed in during an inhalation session (chok-
ing hazard). Therefore, it is imperative to make sure there are no foreign bodies
inside the VORTEX before every use.
