VALIDATION
The method has been validated in Europe using:
– RDG G7836 CD cleaner-disinfector produced by Miele (programme Vario TD)
– Miele standard baskets (E450 / E142)
– Neodisher MediZym as ph-neutral cleaning agent (0.5%, by Dr. Weigert)
Alternatively: Neodisher Mediclean forte 0.5% (alkaline), and for neutralisation
Neodisher Z (by Dr. Weigert)
DRYING
Even if the cleaner-disinfector is equipped with a drying function, make sure that no
residual moisture is left in the components. If necessary, remove any residual mois-
ture by shaking the parts and allow them to dry completely.
Chemical manual cleaning and disinfection
Alternatively, cleaning and disinfection can also be carried out manually. The valid-
ated agents are listed together with all relevant information in the following table:

PROCEDURE
CAUTION
Inadequate cleaning and disinfection encourages the growth of bacteria and thus
increases the risk of infection. Adequate cleaning with disinfection can only be as-
sured if the specified mixing ratio and application time are adhered to, and if all in-
dividual parts are completely immersed in the solution for the entire application
time. There must not be any air pockets or bubbles.
1) Cleaning phase at temperatures up to 55 °C: 5 minutes' holding time.
Thermal disinfection at 90 °C with 5 minutes' holding time.
