– Select a letter, a number or a special character
with button 19.1 or 19.2.
– Press button 21 to set the selected letter or
number at the current cursor position in the dis-
play.
The cursor automatically advances to the next
number position.
– After you have entered all text, press button 18 to
return to the main menu.
The entered user information is stored and dis-
played in the start indication when switching on
the measuring tool the next time.

In the "SECURITY" submenu, you can password-pro-
tect a submenu from being called up and thus protect
the measuring tool settings against unauthorized
access.
The following options are possible:

– Select the desired option with buttons 20.1 or
20.2 and confirm the entry with button 21.
– "CHANGE" Option:
An indication for entering a password is displayed.
For additional steps, see "Changing the Pass-
word", page 34 .
– "RESET" Option:
The currently set password is deleted. Locked
submenus/options can then no longer be called up
by entering a password.
– "SECURITY" Option:
An indication is displayed which is identical with
the indication of the main menu.
Select the desired submenu with buttons
19.1/19.2 or 20.1/20.2.
Specify if the selected submenu shall be locked
" " or enabled " " for entries with button 22.
Note: The "SECURITY" submenu cannot be locked
here, to prevent the user from accidentally locking
himself and thereafter not being able to carry out
changes anymore.

Changing the Password
You have the possibility to change the 4-digit pass-
word to protect the submenus against unauthorized
access.
Enter the new password as described in section
„Entering a Password", page 32.
As soon as all 4 numbers of the new password have
been entered, the password is automatically saved.
"RF ADDRESS" Submenu

In the "RF ADDRESS" submenu, you can set the
measuring tool and its remote control to the same
specific RF address.
This function makes sense when several measuring
tools and remote controls are being used in the vicin-
inty at the same time. Different RF addresses prevent
accidental entries to the various instruments.
– After selecting the "RF ADDRESS" submenu, wait
several seconds for the RF address to be dis-
played.
A wait-symbol is indicated as long as the measur-
ing tool reads out the current RF address.
– Press button 20.1 or 20.2 to set a RF address
between 000 and 254.
– Confirm the entry with button 21.
The wait-symbol is displayed until the new
RF address is saved. Afterwards, it is indicated on
the display.
– Press button 18 to return to the main menu.
Note: When the number 255 is displayed, an error
has occured while setting the RF address. Repeat the
entry of the new RF address.
Remote Control Menus
Navigating in the menus of the remote control takes
place analogue to navigating in the menus of the
measuring tool.
– Press button 18 twice.
The main menu is displayed.
– Select a submenu with buttons 19.1/19.2 and
20.1/20.2.
The selected submenu point is indicated by an
arrow symbol on the side.
– Press button 21 to call up the desired submenu.
