Assembly
Power Supply of the PipeLaser
For operation of the measuring tool, you can choose
between 3 power supply possibilities:
– Alkali-manganese batteries (D cells)
– Ni-MH battery pack
– External DC cable (12 V)
Inserting/Replacing the Battery
(see figures A1 – A3)
– Release locking knob 3 and pull the battery com-
partment 23 out of the housing.
– Pull both latches on the side of the battery com-
partment outward and lift out the the battery lid 4.
– Remove all 4 batteries and replace them with new
ones. Pay attention to the correct polarity.
– Mount the battery lid again and close both latches.
When mounting, pay attention that the straight
edges of the battery lid face towards the contacts
in the battery compartment.
– Reinsert the battery compartment 23 into the
housing and lock locking knob 3.
Always replace all batteries at the same time. Only use
batteries from one brand and with the identical capac-
ity.
Remove the batteries from the measuring
tool when not using it for extended periods.
When storing for extended periods, the batteries
can corrode and discharge themselves.
