When DIP switch 2-7 is set to OFF, the base line for moving the sewing pattern sideways changes from the right edge of
the pattern (the trimming margin base line position) to the center of the pattern (zigzag base line position). (Refer to
page 185 for details on changing DIP switch settings.)

The setting value represents the trimming margin taken
from the trimming margin base line position at the right
edge of the sewing pattern.

I Setting the zigzag base line position
The zigzag base line is the "center" of the zigzag stitch, or in other words, it is like a center line drawn through the
sewing pattern.
By moving the zigzag base line position, you can move the sewing pattern to the left and right within the maximum
range for the pattern width.
<Example: For maximum zigzag width of 5 mm>

The setting value represents the distance that the sew-
ing pattern is moved sideways from the center of the
maximum zigzag width range (base line = 0), taken from
the zigzag base line position at the center of the sewing
pattern (including the backtack portion).

If the needle bar is at the needle up stop position, the
needle bar will move to the sewing start position when

If the needle bar is not at the needle up stop position,
the needle bar will move to the sewing start position
after it next moves to the needle up stop position.
