Directions for Device Usage:
Prior to Use:
1.
Inspect and familiarize yourself with the device.
2.
Do not use this Product if the device does not function properly or there is evidence of damage (e.g. deformed, cracked or
damaged packaging). Save the device and packaging and contact your local STERIS Endoscopy Product Specialist.
Read the "Warnings, Precautions and Contraindications" and review the figures below.
3.
Procedural Use:
1. Securely place the BioShield
2. See Figure 3 for correct and incorrect placement of the BioShield

When using a therapeutic device in conjunction with the BioShield
•
Use the tabs to remove the cap portion of device and leave the tether on the instrument channel port (See Figure 4).
Note: This prevents the device from getting misplaced.
•
Attach therapeutic device to the instrument channel port (i.e. FNA needle).
