27) Inspection of Gear Case

28) Assembly of Gear Case
Use the following tools to install ball bearing 1 outer race.

Bearing Outer Press Kit :
P/N. 3B7-72739-1
Bearing Outer Press Plate 1
Bearing Outer Press Guide 2
Bearing Outer Press Rod 3
2. Fix gear case on a holder with its propeller shaft opening
facing upward.
3. Clean outer race installation face in the gear case and apply
gear oil.
4. Apply gear oil to external face of outer race, and put the
outer race in the center of the housing with the marked face
of the race facing in the housing.
Press the end of the rod to press-fit the ball bearing 4 in the

housing securely.
