ON SC-E5003 EQUIPPED MODELS

BLUETOOTH AND ANT PRIVATE CONNECTIVITY

The Shimano SC-E5003 display does not
provide Bluetooth or ANT Private connectiv-
ity, and therefore models equipped with this
display cannot be connected to the Shimano
Etube Project Cyclist app to customise the
EP8 system.
These models cannot be connected either to
Garmin devices with the Orbea RS Toolbox
data while using it.
In order to replace the SC-E5003 display with the SC-
EM800 display in order to gain ANT Private and Blue-

tooth connectivity, the following components need to be
sourced from a Shimano authorized distributor:
· Shimano SC-EM800 display (35mm clamp).
· Shimano SW-EM800-L handlebar remote switch.
It will be necessary to remove the EW-JC302 connector
stem has to be disassembled from the steerer tube to
access the connector and bring the motor cable outside
the stem.
Connect the 1200mm EW-SD300 cable coming from the
motor to the new SC-EM800 display. Connect also to

connected from the EW-JC302 connector.
Disconnect the cable from the SC-E5003 display and re-

Install the SW-EM800-L remote switch on the handlebar
and connect the cable that was previously connected to
the SC-E5003 display.
The system will recognize the new components when the
bicycle is switched on.
