SHIMANO SM-PCE1 INTERFACE. The
EP8 system can also be connected to Etube
Professional using the Shimano SM-PCE1
interface.
To use the PCE1 it is necessary to use the
Version 4 of Etube Professional. Etube V5 is
not compatible with the PCE1.
You can download both versions of Etube
Professional from the Shimano website.
CONNECTION OF SC-EM800
DISPLAY ASSEMBLIES
On models using the SC-EM800 display, it is possible to
use one of the free display connectors to connect the SM-
PCE1 interface.
A SD300 cable must be connected to the display´s free
connector and then use an EW-AD305 adapter to convert

de SD300 cable to a SD50 cable standard, which is the
SC-PCE02 PC-link cable standard.
Alternatively, an Y7EA03100 PC-link cable can be used to
connect the display and the SM-PCE02 directly.

CONNECTION OF SC-E5003 DISPLAY ASSEMBLIES
On assemblies using the SC-E5003 display, that only has
one SD300 port, it is necessary to use a Shimano EW-
JC304 juntion to gain a free port to connect the system to
the SM-PCE02 interface.
Disconnect the display cable and connect an EW-SD300
cable of any length from the display to the EW-JC304 jun-
tion. Connect the motor cable to the juntion.

ORBEA RS BATTERY IN ETUBE PROFESSIONAL
The Orbea RS 540Wh internal battery is not diagnostica-
ble using Etube Professional. If there is a problem in the
electric system, use Etube Professional to rule out that the
problem does not come from other of the Shimano system
components.
Connect another EW-SD300 cable of any length to a free
port of the junction and use an EW-AD305 connector to
convert this cable to the EW-SD50 cable standard. Con-
nect the SM-PCE02 interface PC-Link cable to the SD50
connector port.
Alternatively, an Y7EA03100 PC-link cable can be used to
connect the EW-JC304 junction and the SM-PCE02 directly.

Contact Shimano to provide them with a system report
through a claim. If Shimano informs you that the problem
comes from the internal battery, contact Orbea through a
claim on Kide.
