RS INTERNAL BATTERY REMOVAL
INFORMATION FOR ORBEA DEALERS
The installation and replacement of the electric
system components requires an advanced techni-
cal knowledge and may therefore be beyong the
skills of most users.
Always take your bicycle to an authorized dealer
for the diagnosis, repair and installation of the
electric system components.
Damage to the components derived from incor-
rect installation may void the warranty on such
components.

Orbea recommends that only authorized
dealers perform the removal and/or replace-
ment of the internal battery from Urrun.
This process requires to remove and install
important components of the bicyle an the
electric system. If you need to remove the
internal battery for transportation, always
take your bicycle to an authorized dealer to
avoid damaging the components and ensure
their correct and safe removal and installa-
tion. An incorrect installation of the electric
components can damage them, which can
cause them to malfuntion and create a risk of
accidents and personal damages.

1. Remove the right crank arm following the manufacturer
recommended method.

2. Remove the top part of the chainguide to allow the
chainring to be removed.
3. Remove the Shimano chainring lockring. The lockring
loosens clockwise. It is necessary for the rear wheel
and the chain to be installed on the bike to allow you to
lock the chainring by holding the rear wheel in place and
thus allow you to loosen the lockring. Use the Shimano
TL-FC39 and TL-FC33 tools to remove the chainring lock-
ring and the chainring.
4. Remove the chainguide bracket to gain access to the

6. Carefully remove the motor from the frame to avoid
damaging the cables when dropping the motor.

7. Disconnect the battery cable and the speed sensor and
display cables from the motor. If a light(s) is connnected
to the motor, use a Phillips screwdriver to disconnect
the light(s) cable(s).
