ROBOTIC OPERATIONS CENTER
BrainOS software provides access to the Brain Corporation Robotic Operations Center (ROC). The ROC is cloud-based and managed by Brain
Corporation technicians. The ROC is connected by a built-in fourth generation (4G) Long-Term Evolution (LTE) modem and does not require
user interaction to connect. New versions of the BrainOS software automatically download to the machine without disrupting service or
requiring operator interaction.
The Figure above shows the ROC connection indicators seen at the top of the screen.
• When the machine is connected to the ROC, the screen displays the left icon.
• If the machine is not connected to the ROC, the screen displays the right icon. If the machine is not connected to the ROC, the ROC cannot be
paired with a mobile device.
PAIR A MOBILE DEVICE TO ROC
Before running an autonomous route, it is recommended (but not required for operation) that the operator pair their mobile device with the ROC.
After pairing, the ROC sends messages to the mobile device if the machine requires assistance and a notification when the cleaning routes
are complete.
To make sure that only the on-site operator receives alerts from the ROC, only one mobile device can be paired with the ROC at a time. A paired
mobile device is automatically disconnected when the machine is turned off or when a new mobile device is paired.
To pair a mobile device to the ROC, follow these steps:
1. To turn on the machine, insert key and turn Key Switch (27) to the ON (I) position.
2. Wait for the screen to initialize.
3. Enter the 4-digit PIN 1337 on the Autonomous Touchscreen Display (26). Upon successful PIN entry, the screen displays the Main Menu.
4. From the Main Menu, select Settings.
5. Select Notifications.
6. To pair the mobile device with the ROC, follow the instructions on the screen.
7. Use your mobile device to send the text message that appears on the autonomy touchscreen display to the number shown. The body of the
message should include the text provided on the autonomy touchscreen display.
8. Paring is successful when your mobile device receives a message that states "You've successfully been registered for alerts for this session".
NOTE: Sometimes SMS messaging can take several minutes due to standard wireless carrier transmission times.
