LUBRICATING THE MACHINE
Once a month apply grease to lubricate the following:
Use grease type Lubriplate
730-2 or equivalent
®
•
Steering Chain
•
General Pivot Points for the Squeegee and Scrub Deck Linkage
•
Side Blade Assembly Height Adjustment Knobs
CLEAN DRIP TUBES & SOLUTION TROUGH (CYLINDRICAL SYSTEM)
See Figure 4-4 . The cylindrical scrub deck has two Drip Tubes
(BB) that attach to the solution hose tee and feed water to the
scrub deck. The scrub deck has a trough with holes (BC) in it
that allow solution to flow to the scrub brushes. Remove the
drip tubes to clean the tubes and trough.
1
Use a short screwdriver to pry up on the cap end of Drip
Tube (BB) to disconnect the end of the tube from the scrub
deck.
2
Lift the end of the tube and remove the tube by twisting
slightly and pulling the tube out to separate it from the
solution hose tee.
3
Clean out trough holes and clean holes in the drip tube
using a 16 gauge or smaller nail, toothpick or small brush.
Use of a mild cleaning solution, such as vinegar, may help
break down and wash away water scale.
4
Reinstall drip tube by pressing the end into the solution
hose tee. Press the cap end down to clip onto the scrub
deck. NOTE: Ensure holes in drip tube are aligned with
holes in solution trough.
ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKE
See Figure 4-5 . The Drive Wheel Assembly (4) has a built-in electromagnetic brake that is engaged whenever the Master Key Switch (A) is OFF
or the FWD / REV Drive Pedal (3) is in the neutral position. This brake can be manually over ridden if necessary by inserting a medium to large
screwdriver behind the Yoke (AA) as shown. This should only be done in the event you need to push or pull the unit. Remember to remove the
spacer (screwdriver) the brake arm after the machine is moved.
CAUTION!
Disconnect the batteries before reaching into this area. Severe injury could occur if steering components suddenly move.
