Calculate the difference of the measurements obtained. Your jacket is compatible
3
with the OFF-ROAD airbag if the difference between the second value and the
first value is greater than or equal to 14 cm (in our example: 120-100=20 cm, 20 is
greater than 14 so the jacket is compatible).
d) Airbag protection areas
The airbag protects vital areas in the event of a fall or accident (thorax, abdomen,
neck, back). Its protection volume effectively absorbs shocks.
CAUTION
•
No single PPE or PPE combination can provide complete protection against injury.
•
This PPE garment is designed to provide impact protection for the areas covered
by the impact protector(s). It does not offer minimum abrasion protection.
•
The protection of the airbag is only guaranteed in the inflated state.
e) Detection of accidents and falls
GOOD TO KNOW
If you update your Helite electronic system, your detection level may change. Please
refer to the update information.
The Helite electronic system detects several configurations of accidents or
falls. It analyzes movements, speed, impacts and uses a GPS signal. The airbag
OFF-ROAD has 2 detection modes : a rally/enduro mode and a adventure mode. The
different detection modes allow the algorithm to be adjusted to the specificities of
each application and therefore to the fall or accident detection conditions. If the
selected mode is not adapted to your application, the performance of the detection
can be strongly degraded (non-detection, delayed or unexpected triggering). These
2 modes have a sun function allowing the airbag to be triggered at very low speed.
To find out how to change your detection mode see page 33.
(C) : Measure the width of the jacket starting under the
armpits (ex 63 cm)
(D) : Measure the width of the jacket at the waist (ex 57
cm)
Add these 2 values (ex : 63+57=120 cm)
