Risk generated by welding fumes
Breathing the fumes, gases and particles generated by welding can cause serious problems for your
health, in the short and long term.
• Keep your head away from fumes.
• Ensure adequate ventilation, use an appropriate air extraction system.
• Make sure you have an adequate amount of fresh air at your disposal.
• Use the machine in open areas.
Risk generated by the welding arc
The welding arc produces radiation that can damage the eyes and burn the skin. In addition to visible
light and heat, the welding arc emits UV radiation that is invisible to the human eye. In unprotected eyes
UV radiation can cause damage to the retina and even detachment. UV radiation can cause burns to the
skin without protection. The electric arc can give off hot metal particles that can cause injury. In addition
to this, the welding process produces sparks, spatter, and heating in the various materials involved that
can cause burns.
• Always wear a face shield. Warning: The product is delivered without a face shield. Purchase a
certified face mask and quality certified protective glass. The level of protection must be at least 9-10.
You should also have a tool to remove the slag from the weld bead and a welding wire brush.
