Commissioning
For battery operation, the ground resistance must be less than 1 GOhm.
WARNING
Explosion hazard!
If non-original Dräger battery boxes are used, explosions may occur.
► Only use Dräger LBT 03**(see "Accessories and spare parts", page 63)
battery box.
2. Insert battery box (Fig. A 2).
3. Close the gas detector:
a. Place the housing cover (Fig. A 1) in its final position (Dräger logo is
horizontal).
b. Turn the housing cover under slight pressure approx. 20°
counterclockwise until the housing cover rests on the sealing ring on the
housing.
c. Press the housing cover forcefully and evenly onto the sealing ring.
d. Slowly turn the housing cover approx. 20° clockwise to the stop in the
end position.
e. Screw in the locking screw (Fig. A 11) until unscrewing the housing
cover is prevented.
NOTICE
► If a new battery pack has been inserted, reset the battery counter.

Resetting the battery counter
Executable within 10 minutes after switching on the gas detector.
Reset the battery counter:
● Hold magnetic pen onto mark (Fig. A 9) for 5 seconds.
 Blue and yellow LEDs are activated simultaneously for 5 seconds.
✓ Battery counter reset.
This feature is also available in PolySoft. It can be executed at any time.

Commissioning
1. Turn on the power supply or install the battery box (see "Installing the
battery box", page 45).
 Start sequence begins.
Green LED flashes.
 LED test in progress.
Yellow and red LEDs flash (repeater: Yellow only).
 The initialization phase begins (60 seconds maximum).
Yellow LED flashes, blue LED flashes (Bluetooth
 Start sequence and initialization phase have ended and gas detector is
ready for operation.
 The measured value is available, the measurement status is "Good" and
the yellow LED is off.
2. Settings can now be made with PolySoft.
3. Integrate the gas detector into the network (see "Network integration",
page 46).
4. Test the signal chain by applying target gas to the sensor.

Network integration
8.1
Network integration
For network integration, also pay attention to the documentation for the
respective access point and gateway.
Set the network ID and JoinKey in the gateway and the gas warning device. It is
then necessary to restart the gas warning device.
8.2
Connecting to WirelessHART
®
1. Connect device via Bluetooth
to PolySoft.
2. Enter network ID and JoinKey on "WirelessHART
connect to network.
