Automatic flushing of the membrane(s)
First, stop the unit by pressing the STOP button.
The following procedure is executed fully automated after pressing the FLUSHING button (short
press).
The machine will automatically perform the following steps:
a. The production valve (V64) stays in the reject position,
b. The flushing valve (V17) opens, (the blue LED of the button is lit during the cycle)
c. The water from the on-board fresh water network passes through the system
d. The flushing valve (V17) closes. (the blue LED turns off)
The solenoid valve (V17) opens to take water from the on-board fresh water network (between minimal 1.5 and 3
bar max.). The flushing cycle starts and continues for 10 minutes, before the solenoid valve closes. (The HP pump
P40 does not start during this cycle)
The membranes are flushed with approximately 18 litres of fresh water from the on-board fresh water tank.
The water from the on board water network can not contain more than 0.4 mg/L of chlorine. This is the
maximum load that can be handeled by the active carbon filter.
NB: The pressure regulating valve (V49) is best let in its production position;
Without backpressure there is too much flow and a too large volume of fresh water will be wasted.
