16 Putting into operation
Notes
Remove all packaging materials.
•
Remove the supplied accessories from the baking chamber.
•
Check that the appliance is in perfect condition.
•
If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact After Sales Service.
•
Clean the appliance thoroughly before putting into operation
•
Clean the oven and the previously removed accessories with warm water and a little
detergent and rub dry. For further information, see "Cleaning and maintenance".
Heating up for the first time
Heating up for the first time prepares the new appliance for use. Odour and smoke
•
development occurring during heating up for the first time are normal and no cause for
concern.
Ensure good ventilation of the room so that odours and smoke can be dispelled quickly.
•
Depending on the situation, possibly open windows or switch on the ventilation.
During the heating-up process, the heat eliminates any possible production residues.
•
Hot surfaces! Keep children away!
Oven procedure: before baking for the first time
1. Remove all accessories (e.g. baking tray/fat pan, grill rack) from the appliance. Keep the
interior of the appliance empty, close the appliance door.
2. Heat up the cleared oven for 45 minutes at maximum temperature with heating from
above and below.

After the heating process, let the appliance cool down and clean it.
Once the heating process is complete and the appliance has been cleaned, it is ready for

operation.
16.1 Oven functions
Oven with conventional convection, fan function
Baking can be done with heating from above, heating from below, grill heat*, fan **/ ring
heater ** (hot air) and combinations of these.

The operation of this oven is controlled by two rotary switches.
The type of heating can be set using the rotary switch function selector.
Use the temperature regulator to set the desired oven temperature.
