7.2 Display for Charge Condition

The current battery charge level is indicated by the LEDs lighting up in sequence (Fig. 5,
items 2–5).
LED display:
LED illuminated
Battery charger
Once charging is complete the charging plug can be disconnected. If the charging plug remains
connected the battery charger will switch to trickle charging. This will not damage the battery or
the battery charger.
INFORMATION
The charging plug may be disconnected at any time. Partially charging the battery does not
shorten its lifespan (no memory effect).
8 Troubleshooting
8.1 Failure
If the charging plug has been connected but charging is not taking place, investigate the follow­
ing causes:
Battery charger
LED flashing
Battery charge level
Battery empty
Battery 25% charged
Battery 50% charged
Battery 75% charged
Battery 100% charged
Cause
The charging plug
is not properly con­
nected to the char­
ging receptacle
The charging plug
or charging recept­
acle contacts are
dirty
The battery or
charger's temper­
ature is outside the
permissible range
LED not illuminated
Correction
Disconnect and then reconnect the charging plug
Use a cotton swab and mild soap solution to clean
the contacts of both components
Disconnect the charging plug and allow the battery
or the charger to warm up or cool down
