bution ring
Replacing the air distribution ring
must be preceded and followed by
the steps required for replacing the
nozzle set (see chapter 10.1).
Dismantle the air distribution ring
Attention!
The air distribution ring is fitted
firmly in the nozzle head, which
can be damaged if excessive
force is used. Injuries can be
caused if the SATA extraction
tool slips during use.
→ Wear protective gloves.
→ Always use the SATA extrac-
tion tool pointing away from your
body.
→ Pull the air distribution ring
evenly out of the nozzle head.
■ Perform the steps to remove the
nozzle set (see chapter 10.1).
■ Remove the air distribution ring
[9-1] using the SATA extraction tool
[9-2].
■ Check sealing surfaces for damage
and soiling, clean or replace if
necessary.
Fit new air distribution ring
■ Insert the air distribution ring [10-3]
in the nozzle head [10-2]. The pin on
the bottom of the air distribution ring
must be aligned accordingly [10-1].
■ Press the air distribution ring in
evenly.
■ Perform the steps to fit the new noz-
zle set (see chapter 10.1).

10.3. Replacing the paint
needle seal retainers
Attention!
If the two paint needle seal re-
tainers are damaged, material
can leak from the gun body in-
spection hole [1-14].
→ Replace the paint needle seal
retainer immediately.
Dismantle the paint needle seal retainer
■ Unscrew the regulating cap [11-1].
■ Unscrew the end cap [11-2].
■ Remove both springs [11-3], [11-4].
■ Remove paint needle [11-5].
■ Unscrew four cheese-head screws
[11-8] using an Allen key.
■ Take the nozzle head [11-7] from the
gun body [11-6].
Material side [12]
■ Screw the seal retainer [12-2] out of
the nozzle head [12-1] using a socket
spanner [12-3].
Air side [13]
■ Screw the seal retainer [13-2] out of
the gun body [13-1] using a screw-
driver [13-3].
■ Check seal retainer for damage and
soiling, clean or replace if necessary.
Mount new paint needle seal retainer
Material side [12]
■ Screw the seal retainer [12-2] into
the nozzle head [12-1] using a socket
spanner [12-3].
Air side [13]
■ Screw the seal retainer [13-2] into the
